Two years ago we lost our everything. Our lives changed in every way possible. Someone we once saw every day, we would never see again. Everything became final. The last kiss, the last hug, the last family dinner, the last time he held his babies. You don’t just lose the person, you lose the future with them. When I stare at a picture for too long of him it almost feels real like he’s standing in front of me, and my eyes can’t understand that he’s not here and he’s not coming back, one of the weirdest things I’ve experienced is my brain trying to picture him in front of me. It feels like just yesterday you were here with us, walking through the door stinky from work, with me asking if you’re hungry, and two happy babies excited to see you. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think of Jacob, every single morning I wake up I remember your gone and it’s just us three. We love you endlessly Jacob Wade Tomlin.
